Recycling Materials

We recycle all our materials, scrap and packaging wherever possible to minimize the amount going to landfill. Below is a summary of our current actions and we are constantly looking to improve wherever possible.

Timber

Timber pallets, timber doors and door frames are burnt as fuel by our staff who have wood-burning stoves.

Glass

Broken glass units and recovered glass units are all recycled into local bins.

Steel, Aluminium and Brass

All recovered metals are sorted and recycled.

Pvc Frames

Pvc doors and frames are collected together and are sent to a local company for recycling back into pvc products.

Fibreglass Off-cuts

These are used by a local company for insulation purposes to their factory.

Polystyrene Packaging

This is either used for repackaging or used as insulation, ideal for adding additional insulation to lofts etc.

Plastic Packaging

We are able to re-use some of this for packing items, with the remainder going to local recycling bins.

Cardboard Packaging

This is re-used for packing doors/frames etc for shipping.

Should you require any additional information regarding our environmental concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Should you also require any of the packaging, timber or insulation materials please call to check our current levels and you are welcome to take what you need (and what we don't want) free of charge.
